  2. With the recent FIMS update came a new feature where, when entering a grant, a warning pops up if the Program field is too large to fit on the check stub. We have always used a submittal letter and do not rely on the check stub to communicate the grant program. It would be great if this feature could be turned off, because it becomes very annoying. At least half of our grants exceed that character limit. Plan B would be to limit the DCNXT recommendation field to a maximum number of characters, but that feature is not working properly…

  3. In the Fund Module, it would be nice to be able to do a search on the "Fund Name" field. The only options currently are Fund ID, Sort Name and DIV.

  4. When running profile reports, the Organization name on the Alternate Address tab doesn't export. Please code this to be included when addresses are pulled from the Alternate Address tab.

  5. Currently, when a profile is copied to create another profile, the Bulk Mail Pointer on the 'copied profile is auto populated on the newly created profile therefore the new profile's Bulk Mail pointer reflects the copied profile ID instead of it's own profile ID.

  6. We provide a unitization report for one of our trustee banks each month. The report does not have Fund ID or Fund Class which we can use to filter funds for that trustee bank. Can those fields be added to the report or can fund class be part of the selection criteria?

    We have to match on fund sort name which is now more time consuming because we now have many funds whose names begin the same (with the character limitation of the sort field). Or the sort field can be significantly increased.

  7. Currently, only able to MOVE permissions. Trying to mirror one user's permissions to another is tedious and the chance of missing a permission is high.

  8. Under General Ledger Reports, Add check box "Ignore allow mail flag profiles" on "Fund Statement" and "Fund Statement Export". This would enable one to capture fund activities on all funds in the system. We have donors that are anonyomous and request that their Solicit and Allow Mail boxes are UNCHECKED within their profiles. Therefore when fund statements are generated or exported the funds associated with profiles where allow mail is UNCHECKED do not print or export.

  9. Would like to include the Prerequisite due dates and even the required items we have setup for import.

    Would also like to have the line payment date be imported as well. Right now it uses the Grant date. Our Payment date is 1 year later and I have to go in and change all these items by hand.

    If it is a field I have to enter data for, I would like to be able to import when creating the grant application!

  10. When an employee leaves, it is a real pain to manually change all of their tickles to another employee and in some cases again when their replacement is hired. You should be able to do this just like you can mass change codes from one to another.

  11. For example, we input the two names. Mr. John Smith and one Mrs. Jane Smith. The Mailing label "Joint or Alternate Name" automatically populates with "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith". This is not appropriate, nor does it reflect the way that women are to/should be acknowledged.

When two profiles are combined, either automatically revise, or allow for revision, of the Organization Name on the grants that were posted to the 'from' profile to reflect the Report Name on the 'To' profile. This is especially important in DonorCentral so donors see grants from the combined profile under one Organization Name, such as in the pie chart that is displayed.

  16. Currently FIMS offers an organization watch list function that automatically adds a contact record to any profile that shows up on (11) watchlist agency reports.

    Two enhancment that would improve this feature for staff that have to vet grantees for the donors that we serve....

    1. Add the SPCL list to this watchlist feature (https://www.splcenter.org/)
    2. Instead of creating a contact record in FIMS for an org that shows on any of the (12) watchlists it would be preferred to create an affiliation code

    With these (2) enhancements in place it would make it much easier for foundations to filter…

  17. We have many donors who would like to send a thank you for a gift that has been made into their fund. Sometimes donors would like to send an email instead of a note. We are trying to have the donors pull this report instead of it falling back on the department. While we are grateful Blackbaud fixed this problem with the new DonorCentral, we wish the gift export would provide email addresses too.

  18. It would be very helpful if a given user couldn't use multiple licenses at the same time. Logging into both Live and T&L is fine, but not multiple ones to Live, unless they're using ODBC.

  19. Our auditors requested a report from our system showing which staff members were active and confirming that former staff members were inactive, which means they could not access the system. FIMS does not have such a report and this type of reporting is necessary when our organization is being audited.

  20. Now that many of our grants are going out by ACH we have received quite a few requests by grantees for multiple people to be notified of the grant. Typically, they ask for an email notice to go to accounting and one to their development office. Currently there is only one email address field in the grantee profile.
