  1. Prospective fundholders may wish to see the platform they'd be using to recommend grants and evaluate that tool against competitors. Short of setting up a dummy account (a heavy lift for staff and not ideal to maintain clean data) for them to use or providing an in-person demo (thereby releasing financial information to unrelated parties), there is no way to give them a glimpse of DonorCentral. A walkthrough video would be most practical and safe time for foundation staff.

  2. Staff is asking to have the ability to pull multiple fund statements at a time. Users would be able to select statements from any of the funds they have access to to create a single PDF file of all the statements. The statements may or may not be consecutive dates.

    Example 1

    Fundholder has 34 funds. They want the most current fund statements of all the scholarship funds. There are 12 scholarship funds. They select these 12 funds, select 'most recent' fund statements and a single PDF is created which contains all 12 statements.

  3. Recommendation submission confirmation email goes the advisor's email address that recommended the grant. We save these emails as permanent record for audit purpose. It would be helpful to have the Advisor Name print in the body of the email message as well and with the profile ID would be a bonus too.

  4. Fundholders would NOT overspend their Spendable Balance. Kind of crucial :). AND based on our experience, this is how DC used to operate until rather recently.

  5. Currently we have to manually email all fund holders using a 3rd party email tool, whenever we've uploaded new statements to DCNXT. It would be nice if DCNXT could automaticlaly email when it occurs.

  8. Please add additional password set-up instructions on the initial screen donors see when they are establishing their access. It might also need to be added on the reset password page. Something along the lines of:

    Passwords MUST:

    • Contain eight characters or more
    • Contain characters from two of the following three character classes:
    1. Capital/uppercase letter
    2. Numeric (i.e. 0-9)
    3. Punctuation or other special characters (i.e. !@#$%^&*)

  9. Staff have requested the ability to upload files to a specific user or fund. There are various types of information that are fund or donor specific which need to be shared.

  12. Gift Export on Funds page in DonorCentral:

    We have many donors who would like to send a thank you for a gift that has been made into their fund. Sometimes donors would like to send an email instead of a note. We are trying to have the donors pull this report instead of it falling back on the department. .... we wish the gift export would provide email addresses too.

  13. We have many fund holders who have multiple funds with us and when they log in it would be great for them to see a list of all funds with the fund balance for each, rather than only getting to view it as a total balance (all funds combined).

    This would display on the Home page with the available to spend amount.

  14. It would be most useful to be able to see any outstanding pledges associated with a Fund on Donor Central, in addition to the "pledges paid" category which already exists.

    It would be even better if we could see outstanding pledges per individual as opposed to Fund, but my understanding is that Donor Central reports on Funds, not Profiles.

  15. This is would be very helpful so that donors and the professional advisors they work with could all see the same information. When donors work closely with others, whether it is family members, or trusted professionals, they need the confidence to see that what they've requested has been implemented and everyone with access to the fund should be able to see the same information.

Since we don't have any kind of admin reporting any longer to know what donors have created in the way of recurring recommendations, it would be very helpful for both the staff and the donor to be notified that a recurring grant has ended. Part of the convenience of the recurring grant is you create it and somewhat forget it. But you may also forget when it is set to be completed, too.

  18. In our previous Donor Central software, we received an email alert notifying us when a donor began but did not fully submit a grant request from their fund. In the new software, apparently there is no way for our Foundation to be notified when a grant has not been fully submitted. It apparently only shows up in the donors individual profile as unsubmitted recommendations.

    This will cause us MAJOR headaches, as some of our donors will not realize they have not fully submitted the grant. If we are unable to track who has unsubmitted grants and reach out to the…

  19. fund statements on DC should be able to be relinked to the new fund id when a fund id is revised. There is no mention in the tool or articles that past fund statements will no longer be accessible. If this issue can't be resolved, a note referencing this needs to be added to the tool and any related Articles.

  20. Please increase the number of FIMS Fund Statements that we can upload at one time. FIMS, on premise, we are limited to uploading 100 Fund Statements, plus the contents file. We currently have over 12,000 donor funds, which means we are creating 120 different files and uploading over 120 different times, EVERY Quarter. Our executive team wants us to generate monthly statements, so this problem will get worse.
