  1. Prospective fundholders may wish to see the platform they'd be using to recommend grants and evaluate that tool against competitors. Short of setting up a dummy account (a heavy lift for staff and not ideal to maintain clean data) for them to use or providing an in-person demo (thereby releasing financial information to unrelated parties), there is no way to give them a glimpse of DonorCentral. A walkthrough video would be most practical and safe time for foundation staff.

  2. Currently we have to manually email all fund holders using a 3rd party email tool, whenever we've uploaded new statements to DCNXT. It would be nice if DCNXT could automaticlaly email when it occurs.

  6. We have many fund holders who have multiple funds with us and when they log in it would be great for them to see a list of all funds with the fund balance for each, rather than only getting to view it as a total balance (all funds combined).

    This would display on the Home page with the available to spend amount.

  7. fund statements on DC should be able to be relinked to the new fund id when a fund id is revised. There is no mention in the tool or articles that past fund statements will no longer be accessible. If this issue can't be resolved, a note referencing this needs to be added to the tool and any related Articles.

  8. Staff have requested the ability to upload files to a specific user or fund. There are various types of information that are fund or donor specific which need to be shared.

  10. When we pull data on who has logged into the portal or who is active in the portal, we want to know what fund a person is associated with without having to go to FIMS. Two more columns (Fund Name - with ability to pull multiple names, as appropriate - and Rep Type) would make the download so much more useful.

For the donor names and addresses that display in DC NXT, the organization names and addresses are pulled from the gift Acknowledgement fields in FIMS but the donor name is pulled from the Report Name on Profile 1. Can the donor name be pulled from the gift acknowledgement field instead? This will always be the most accurate field as the report name is more likely to change on a profile over time. Also, for organization profile gifts, DC NXT ends up displaying the organization name twice in a row for the same gift since it's pulling Report Name and then…

  12. It would be most useful to be able to see any outstanding pledges associated with a Fund on Donor Central, in addition to the "pledges paid" category which already exists.

    It would be even better if we could see outstanding pledges per individual as opposed to Fund, but my understanding is that Donor Central reports on Funds, not Profiles.

  13. This is would be very helpful so that donors and the professional advisors they work with could all see the same information. When donors work closely with others, whether it is family members, or trusted professionals, they need the confidence to see that what they've requested has been implemented and everyone with access to the fund should be able to see the same information.

  14. We love the fact that gift information (name, address) can be displayed on the "Gift" page in DonorCentral. This allows fund advisors to write thank you notes and track gifts in one central place. However, we do NOT inform fund advisors on the AMOUNT of a contribution. There is no way to 'hide' the gift amount in DC (so that it is not associated with the gift contact information). This means we are unable to display the gift contact information to our fund advisors. DC allows you to hide contact information but not the actual gift amount associated. We would…

  15. We have coded our fundholders who wish to grant anonymously in the fund module, but that coding doesn't flow into DonorCentral NXT. Could that happen at some point?

  17. Donors may decide at the beginning of the year when they receive endowment reports what they want to donate for the year, but don't want the donations to go out until later in the year. It would be great if they could go ahead an add them as recommendations while they are working on them instead of having to remember later to add them.

  18. Please add the following fields to the grant recommendation form so they will be included in the email we receive to process the grants: FUND ID, DONOR NAME, FIMS ID. This information was included with the grant recommendation emails we received with the old version of DC.

  19. In our previous Donor Central software, we received an email alert notifying us when a donor began but did not fully submit a grant request from their fund. In the new software, apparently there is no way for our Foundation to be notified when a grant has not been fully submitted. It apparently only shows up in the donors individual profile as unsubmitted recommendations.

    This will cause us MAJOR headaches, as some of our donors will not realize they have not fully submitted the grant. If we are unable to track who has unsubmitted grants and reach out to the…

  20. Our internal finance controls need to be able to track recurring grants for auditing purposes. Having a quick way to tell recurring grants apart from single time grants would greatly improve our ability to track recurring grants.
