Gift History Reports without Salutations
In the Gift History Report, it automatically includes salutations. I don't see any way to remove this. It's frustrating when I simply need their names.
Furthermore, it defaults to the male donor... Which is very problematic. For example: if our board member's name is Anne Smith, and she's the one who actually donated the money it doesn't display Anne's name. Instead it says "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith." Anne's name is nowhere to be found on the report.
This is very problematic on many levels. Furthermore, it's 2024. The whole Mr. and Mrs. thing is antiquated. Please fix this for…

The User Defined Gift History Export can be used to get this same information and has the ability to use the profile first and last name of the actual donor and not include salutation.

Add ability to be able to schedule exports out of FIMS
It would be great to have the ability to schedule exports out of FIMS such as data grids and other exports rather than having to do them manually.

It is not possible to add the ability to schedule data grids or exports out of FIMS due to the manual selections and inputs that have to be made by the user to be able to run export processes and export data grids.

Don't Allow Multiple Logins For One User
It would be very helpful if a given user couldn't use multiple licenses at the same time. Logging into both Live and T&L is fine, but not multiple ones to Live, unless they're using ODBC.

It is not possible to prevent multiple log ins by the same user.

When adding bulk contacts allow entry of a fund or a grant
Many times when we work with a donor set from a specific fund we also want that information on the contact record so we know what strategies are working

When adding bulk contacts, the fund and grant fields are greyed out on purpose so that the same grant and fund information is not copied to multiple records.

Be able to edit the field description that appears lower left corner of screen.
For example "Enter the Strategy Code for this grant request" when hovering over Strategy field in Grant Applications. Would be very useful to be able to revise to guide user entry as it relates to our CF. .

The field descriptions are not able to be changed because they tie to the description of the field itself. In FIMS, in any field that you click on, the message will correspond to the actual field name.

Add the temporarily restricted balance as a choice in the Data Grid in Funds to use in determining spendable.
We only give the spendable calculation if it is supported by temporarily restricted funds. Currently have to run a Fund Balance Report and add the Spendable Calculation to it!

Temporary restricted balance can be shown in the Fund Balance report or in a financial columnar report. After creating the columnar report format in Design Statements in General Ledger, use that statement code in a fund statement export. The available to spend and the individual balances are contained in that export:

Data grid views - fund module - popup menu that would allow you to pick a fund for a certain view
When you create a custom view in say the fund module that shows for example all the current year gifts and grants, it would be nice if a menu could pop up that would allow you to specify or select the view based on some data - for example by fund name (quickly) rather than having to go in and change the data on the selection tab

A pop-up menu is not able to be added to data grids.

Create a report that shows when each employee was working in FIMS over a certain period of time.
We share our FIMS license. Seeing who is in and how long they were in would help a manager track what is happening.

It is not possible to add a report that shows users logged in over time, but the users connected listing reports shows who is logged in and the time that they logged in. For FIMS on premises, Show Live Users can be used to show if users are logged in and when they logged in.

Add functional expense field to account debit and credit for Pledge Import program
Avoids having to edit each GL line entry to change account before posting.

The debit account for the Pledge Import is typically an asset account and the credit account is typically a revenue account. Expense accounts are not typically used for Pledges.
Additionally, asset accounts are not used to create functional expense accounts.

Report for total fund ending balanc and account totals, include post and unposted journal entries
This report would help me to check my entries for correctness without all the revering entries and muddying of the waters to correct errors. It will facilitate a clean paper train for audit purposes as well. I work in FIMS and Financial Edge concurrently and this would provide me with an additional invaluable tool to make sure that my systems balance at all times.

It is not possible to add total fund ending balance, account totals, posted and unposted journal entries in one report. For that data, here are the corresponding reports:
Total Fund ending balance: Consolidated Trial Balance and Fund Balance report
Account Totals: Consolidated Trial Balance
Posted Journal entries: Journal History report
Unposted journal entries: Journal Entry report

Create a macro to create Positive Pay bank file from Check Register
I'd like to have a macro that would put check register information into a format that is appropriate for uploading to the bank for Positive Pay or check clearing verification.

The check register in FIMS can be saved as a text file and then opened in Excel. Once opened in Excel, the data can be formatted correctly.

Add Microsoft Office back into Hosting
With the removal of Microsoft Office, functionality from hosted FIMS was removed. It would be good to have Microsoft Office available in Azure for hosted FIMS.
