    If this is being considered, can you make it optional. This is an incredibly beneficial feature for our clients since allows orgs to be searched by the alias and provides explanation when the official name populates instead of the alias.

    Yes please allow this option. This should not be the single reason why our fund holders will take their business elsewhere. Many sites allow a user to opt out of this requirement.
