Profile 2 email in FIMS needs to be able to access DonorCentral in addition to profile 1 email
Our Donors are consistently asking for this. The way the Blackbaud ID works they are creating IDs that aren't attaching because they are using the partner email address. Foundation staff is having to litter FIMS with extra separate profiles to accommodate this need. it is creating significantly more work for staff and significant frustration for donors.
The DonorCentral user can use the email address that is listed on the Profile 2 tab of the profile record as long as that email address is also on the Profile 1 tab and also as long as that email is not on the Profile 1 tab of another profile that has DonorCentral access.
DonorCentral access is coded to look at the Profile 1 tab of the profile record for a unique email address that does not exist on another profile record.
We recommend using the system integrity report, using the option to Check DC Email Validation to check the system for emails that exist on more than one profile:
