  1. Add the ability to add merge fields to the name of the file generated by a correspondence template.

    Example: Add a recipient's name to the name of the file of generated correspondence by dragging in a merge field.

  2. We'd like to be able to add characteristics (within a grant batch), much like you add workflow steps. Often the same characteristics apply to all but are not reflected on the original proposal record. Efficiency would also be gained if we were allowed to enter multiple characteristics on a grant without having to "save", then "add" and "save" again.

  3. Incorporate the ability to schedule an automated email to notify a grantee of an upcoming report due (or past report due) at the time the award is made. Ex: While awarding a grant, the grants admin can send the award notification, assign the report(s), and schedule automated emails for report reminders.

    1. Would be great if toast notifications recognized the space bar or enter on the keyboard and not just the mouse click to clear.
    2. Toasts not cleared by user, continue to stack up, even after you leave that record which can be confusing when it doesn't relate to the current record open.

  4. Within the check run grid, it would be helpful for users to see a column representing each payment's payee status (are they already approved or do they require approval). That way an check batcher can see in aggregate any issues with payees prior to receiving the prompt on the error log. Would also help with batch review of payments vs. opening each grant one by one.

  5. In the designing of grant and scholarship applications, we use Characteristics. Sometimes these characteristic groups can be a very long list. It would be great to have the abilty to sort these characteristics alphabetically or to be able to re-arrange the groups when a characteristic is added. I know that in the application, the group is sorted, but to have the abilty to sort on the back end to check off the list or easily find a characteristic would be very helpful.

  6. Recommend updating the grants (& other FCG Grids) so that any column can also be a filter. For example, on the Grands Grid you have a column for the Fund Number but you cannot filter by fund number. This should work like it does in RE/FE NXT Lists where filters and columns are all equally available.

FCG only rounds 2 decimal places when dividing percentage among multiple recipients. i.e. if you have a designated grant set to distribute 5% of the cash available by 3 recipients, and assign each recipient 33.33%, FCG does not recognize these figures as totaling 100% because it rounds to only two decimal places. If you increase 1 recipient percentage to 33.34%, FCG will let you generate grants, however the grant amounts are not equal. The only workaround for this it to calculate 5% of cash available outside of the system and set the designated grant calculation to total amount for all…

  8. To separate/group templates by type (i.e., Deposit Notifications, Award Letters, Award Agreements, Decline Letters, Check Letter, Overdue Notices, Evaluation Reports, Others)

    We have 100+ variations of the deposit notification alone and paging forward by just 10 results at a time, means lots of clicks (time gobbler) since these are displayed alphabetically.

  9. When an Online Grant Request is entered for a constituent that doesn't exist we must add the constituent. When we open the Grant Request Details there is a button "Create Constituent." If that button is clicked it creates the RE constituent record but SyncHarmony won't add a new FE Vendor record. Support, via SUPP-9839, said we need to click into the recipient field and click the "Create new RENXT Constituent" button. Why have two different buttons that both create the constituent? Both buttons should do the same thing.

  10. Select a Characteristic Code list would be helpful if there can be an option to condense to the first alpha level and user not having to scroll down through hundreds (i.e., A01, A02, A03 to get to R)

  11. Currently our setup to send paper fund statements pulls those constituents based on a RE Custom Field being "yes." It's mailed to their primary address. We have some constituents who would like some of their fund statements mailed to their office (for example if they are the CEO of a nonprofit with a fund) and others mailed to their home (for example their personal Donor Advised fund). Currently we lack the ability to do this. I recommend moving from using an RE Custom Field to something within FCG, allowing designating on a per fund basis what address the statement should…

For building application forms, it would be great to have a multichoice question option in which the user can select multiple answers without having to hold the control key (can look like radio buttons). Even better if the selections can inform logic responses (i.e., new questions become available depending on the earlier response) within the form.

  14. We would like the ability to move created queries to different subfolders within FCG so that we can manage them more effectively. Currently, this functionality is only available in GE Classic as a drag and drop but cannot be done similarly in FCG.

  16. We would like to have the Grant details section to have two boxes for Anonymous grants, A box to specify if the fund id anonymous and a box for if the donor is anonymous.
    Currently the grant details section only has a box to specify it is anonymous, but it doesn’t break it down. The Grant Recommendation page currently has this option.
    It would be more efficient to have both boxes also present on the Grant details page.

  18. Under the Designated Grant Recipient tile, the Active box is so tiny and light, it is incredibly hard to distinguish if checked or not. Would be better with a colored check mark instead of gray.

    Same goes for the Constituent summary where any of the following boxes could be checked: Recipient, Payee, Applicant, Requires Fiscal Sponsor, etc.

  19. Add new query export options such as Excel, XML, JSON, PDF etc.

    Limiting the only export file option to CSV has created issues relating to the automatic CSV formatting that occurs upon export. Providing alternative options (i.e. XLSX) will provide users with workarounds to potential issues involving data deformation.

    Example: Essay questions in applications become broken apart into sections when exported as a query. This is an automatic occurrence that is caused by the formatting of a CSV file. This issue cannot be circumvented, as the only option to export is CSV.
